Yunde (meaning)

The name Yunde is made up of 2 Chinese characters: Yun (云) and De (德).

云 Literally means Cloud and symbolizes Calmness and Balance. The “cloud-hand” (云手) movement within Wushu and Tai Chi is a movement to block and defend (think “wax-on, wax-off” :D)

德 Means Ethics and specifically stands for Martial Ethics or Wu De (武德). Martial Ethics is an important code of conduct within the martial arts which defines humility, respect, righteousness, loyalty, will, endurance, perseverance, patience and courage. Within Japanese martial arts it's also known as Bushido.
